About Kohat Board
BISE Kohat came into existence on January 19, 2002, with the appointment of Brigadier (Retd.) Talat Imtiaz Naqvi as its Founding Chairman. The Board started functioning in the temporary offices of KDA Kohat. Simultaneously, 50 kanals of land was purchased on Indus Highway adjacent to Kohat University of Science and Technology. The master plan and detailed drawing of the new board complex were approved by Lieutenant General (retd) Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa / Controlling Authority in September 2002, and construction of the new complex began on November 1, 2002. The new board complex was completed in a record time of just 16 months and was inaugurated by the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on March 4, 2004.
Introduction to Kohat Board
The board complex consists of a four-story office building, an auditorium for 1000 people, a hostel for 100 people, a mosque, a bank, a post office, a cafeteria, and a lush lawn. In addition, the board complex has a large number of storerooms and four spacious halls for central marking.
