The Bahauddin Zakariya University BZU Multan was established in 1975 by an Act of the Punjab Legislative Assembly. To pay homage to the great elder, the name was changed from Multan University to Bahauddin Zakaria University (BZU) in 1979. Of its 392 faculty members, 130 have doctoral degrees and 10,000 students, half of whom are women. The University offers a wide range of programs: MA, MSc, MBA, M.Com, MCS, M.Phil, and Ph.D.
