Initially, it belonged to BISE Peshawar but due to the rapid increase in educational needs, it was necessary to set up an institution that could ignore all the educational issues of the Abbottabad division. If the Board finds any confusion in the registration of a body, it may withdraw its participation. BISE Abbottabad covers areas of Abbottabad, Haripur, Mansehra, Bagram, and Kohistan. For this purpose Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education BISE Abbottabad was established.
