Earlier, there was no education board in Mirpurkhas city. SSC and HSC education runs under BISE Hyderabad, Sindh. Now it has its own board for examinations called BISE (Board of Intermediate and Secondary Examination). Mirpurkhas earlier belonged to the district Hyderabad, Sindh.
Matriculation class consists of two classes 9th class and 10th class which are also known as Matriculation I and II respectively. Therefore, the 9th class examination is conducted at the end of class IX, and the 10th class annual examination is conducted at the end of class X.
