About Rawalpindi Board
The Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education was established in 1977 and its primary responsibility is to conduct annual matriculation and intermediate examinations. Thousands of candidates are affiliated with BISE Rawalpindi and there are various districts under the board such as Rawalpindi, Chakwal, Jhelum, and Attock. The main agency of the Rawalpindi Board is the Department of Higher Education. As an independent body, the Board fulfills its duties by conducting annual examinations of SSC and HSSC and announcing 10th-class results at the same time. In addition, it facilitates students in all matters relating to education and examinations.
Last year, the annual examinations were canceled due to COVID-19 and the students were promoted to the next class as per the instructions issued by the provincial government. Normally the board announces the date sheet of the 10th class 2023 in June and the annual examinations start in May but this year the previous schedule of annual examinations has been disturbed.
