In December of the same year, a National Education Commission was appointed with various scholars and scholars from different fields of education as members. The main task before the commission was to restructure and restructure the existing education system. The Commission felt the need for a separate and autonomous phase for secondary education. According to the recommendations and decisions of the commission, the University of Peshawar was relieved of the heavy responsibility of secondary education. Thus the Board of Secondary and Secondary Education came into being in 1961. Since then, BISE Peshawar has been conducting examinations and educational programs at the secondary and intermediate levels. The Peshawar Board area at that time included the whole of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the tribal areas.
