The University of Medical and Health Sciences is the first and only university in Balochistan province to be responsible for admitting students in MBBS and BDS programs of studies. Bolan Medical College and its Dental Section (University Dental College) as well as other public sector medical colleges in Balochistan are affiliated / consultants with BUMHS. Bolan Medical University is recognized by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan for teaching Medicine, Psychiatry, Surgery, Hematology, Neurosurgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Otterhinolaryngology, and Pediatrics.

A written request for any objection may be submitted to the BUMHS Admission Office at Vice Chancellor Secretariat BUMHS, Brewery Road, Quetta by (04:00 PM). List of eligible candidates for admission in medical and dental colleges / institutions of Balochistan as per MDCAT 2022. Merit lists will be issued according to provincial, divisional, district and other categories after applications are invited for admissions. Hard copies of the final merit list documents will be displayed after submission of marks sheet and deduction / addition of marks (where required).
