Gomal Medical College, or GMC, is a public medical institution located in Dera Ismail Khan, Pakistan. It is one of the new generation of public medical schools established by the government in the 1990s to cater to the growing demand of healthcare providers in Pakistan. It started operations in 1998 and has now established medical education bases in the area. It was originally affiliated with the University of Peshawar, a standard public university in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa since 1952. It is now affiliated with Khyber Medical University.
Educational schedule
All prospective medical students should take the ETEA medical exam for the province’s public sector medical colleges, which conducted 200 MCQs in August. Successful candidates usually start their classes in November each year. The College adheres to the same educational guidelines formulated by the PMDC.
