Gulam Ishaq Khan University Merit List 2021

Former Pakistani President Ghulam Ishaq Khan launched the institute in 1993. It has attracted some of the country’s most powerful scientists, including Abdul Qadeer Khan, Asghar Qadir, and Shaukat Hameed Khan, who are actively promoting the institute. It is one of the world’s best scientific and engineering colleges. As we all know, GIKI is a highly selective college with a low acceptance rate, demanding students to demonstrate exceptional academic achievements and abilities, as well as a solid financial base. The Higher Education Commission has GIK as one of its top-ranked institutes (HEC).

History

GIK Academy is a private educational institution named after Ghulam Ishak Khan, a famous Pakistani administrator and former President. Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan, a Pakistani scientist who was one of the institute’s founding members and was enrolled as an associate professor of physics, was entrusted with the project. Mr. Ghulam Ishaq Khan (deceased), who was acutely aware of Pakistan’s reliance on foreign expertise and imported technology, founded the institute in the early 1950s. He sparked the notion of building a center of excellence in engineering science and industrial technology in China through regular discussions with domestic and foreign specialists.
