The Suzuki Swift is a subcompact car manufactured by Suzuki’s Japanese automobile company. The car was first unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in September 2004.
The first generation Suzuki Swift was branded as a sporty subcompact car and was launched globally in 2005. The Suzuki Swift quickly became popular around the world as its sales doubled. It was launched in Pakistan in 2009 by Pak Suzuki Motor Company Limited. The car was powered by a 1.3-liter M13A petrol engine and was mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission. In Pakistan, it was closed in 2021.
The second-generation Suzuki Swift was launched in 2010 with a bigger wheelbase than ever before and a more rounded design language. In 2013, it got a facelift with an updated front bumper, L-shaped LED DRLs, fresh 16-inch wheels, LED-type high-end brake lamps, and a new set fabric design.
In 2017, Suzuki unveiled the third generation, the Suzuki Swift. The 5-door hatchback comes with a lighter body and better design. The car was also equipped with Suzuki’s Light Hybrid Technologies integrated starter generator, lane departure warning, and high beam assist. The car got a new look in 2020 with a new radiator grille, alloy wheels, and dual-tone color options.
The fourth-generation Suzuki Swift was launched in Pakistan on February 24, 2022, and is available in 3 variants – GL, GL (CVT), and GLX (CVT).
