In 1975, Islamia University Bahawalpur (IUB) started functioning as the commanding body for conducting examinations for Bachelors, Masters, M.Phil, and Ph.D. levels under different faculties. Rahim Yar Khan Bahawalnagar has two IUB sub-campuses that provide educational services to students in Bahawalpur and its jurisdiction.
