
University of Health Sciences, Lahore (UHS Lahore) is an undergraduate, affiliated public university located in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. The University of Health Sciences, Lahore is an internationally recognized, student-oriented research university whose mission is to improve the delivery of healthcare to the public. It controls and coordinates the activities of medical education, training and research institutes across Punjab. It is one of the public and private medical and dental colleges in Punjab. The Medical and Dental College conducts entrance tests (also called MDCAT) every year for admission to MBBS and BDS degree programs.
Courses offered
The University offers undergraduate courses in Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, Allied Health Sciences, and Biomedical Engineering. Undergraduate level courses in medicine and dentistry are offered on affiliated campuses only. No private university or degree institute (DAI) in Punjab is allowed to offer Bachelor’s degree in Medicine (MBBS) and Dentistry (BDS) without affiliation with University of Health Sciences, Lahore.
Condition
The University of Health Sciences, Lahore was inaugurated on October 2, 2002 by former President of Pakistan General Pervez Musharraf. This university offers world-renowned disciplines and disciplines similar to those in Europe and the United States. The degrees are recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council. Recognized by professional councils such as Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC) and Pharmacy Council of Pakistan (PCP).
