University of Abdul Walihan Mardan Institution is a public university in Mardan, Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province. The university, named after Abdul Walihan, a famous figure in Pakhtunkhwa, was founded in April 2009 and has 49 affiliated institutions. Mardan Graduate School was the forerunner to this university. It has nine campuses and about 10,000 students in 31 specialties as of 2015. In October 2010, the Swabi campus, which eventually became Swabi University, opened in the Anbar Primary School building. Bach Khan University is located on the Palossa campus.
There are currently five colleges and three constituent colleges within the institution. The College of Arts and Humanities, College of Chemistry and Life Sciences, College of Physics and Numerical Sciences, College of Economics and Business, and College of Social Sciences are among the colleges. The university’s constituent institutions are the Pakhtunkhwa College of Art, Women’s College, and College of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine.
