Introduction to AIOU
Allama Iqbal Open University is a public educational institution that was established in 1974. The University is affiliated with the Pakistan Higher Education Commission and the Pakistan Engineering Council. The University has various faculties including the Faculty of Arabic and Islamic Studies, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Sciences, Faculty of Social Sciences, and Faculty of Humanities. The university is funded by the government and the university aims to enable students to live in remote areas of Pakistan. Since its inception, the university has been offering admission to Pakistanis living abroad. AIOU plays an important role in educating students in its respective fields.
