The academic session for undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate degrees of Government College Women’s University Sialkot, its affiliated colleges and sub-campuses usually starts in September and ends in June every year. Students applying for admission and financial aid must complete both applications and submit the forms to the University Admissions Office and the Financial Aid Office, respectively.
All admissions are advertised in national newspapers and on the university’s website http://gcwus.edu.pk/.
Eligibility Criteria for BS Program
Candidates seeking admission in BS 4 year program will have to pass Intermediate or equivalent examination in Pre-Engineering / Pre-Medical in at least Second Division from any government / private institution.
Eligibility Criteria for MS Program (as per HEC guidelines)
Merit-based admissions are made once a year after the announcement of the results of the BS programs.
Sixteen years of education will be required.
An undergraduate degree requires a minimum CGPA of 2.5 or 1st division.
Students must take a subject test and have a passing score of 60%.
Candidates will apply through the Admissions Committee in the relevant teaching department.
Eligibility Criteria for the PhD Program
Minimum CGPA of 3.0 or 1st Division in MS / M. Full / equivalent degree is required.
An essay in the field of specialization selected at the PhD level by the National Testing Service (NTS) or ETS, USA must be cleared before entering the PhD program.
