Mehran Institution of Engineering and Technology (also known as Mehran University or MUET) is a Pakistani public research university in Jamshoro, Sindh Province. It began as a campus of Sindh Institution in July 1976 and was recognized as an independent university a year later. Academician S.M. Qureshi was named the university’s initial vice president. “Pakistan Higher Education Institutes Placed 5th” ranked it 6th in the engineering category of higher education institutions in 2016.
