When Ataullah Mengal was Chief Minister, the college was founded in 1972. Mir Gul Khan Nasir, the Minister of Education at the time, was a member of the National People’s Party (Wali Group) who had graduated over 2,900 pupils (approximately 2003). The Japan International Cooperation Agency awarded it a grant of 488 million yen in 1995. The new structure was completed in 1996.
In 2004, BUMHS was conceived. As a result, the basic steps to establishing it began. However, the Balochistan Parliament did not pass the 2017 Boland University of Medicine and Health Sciences Act until 2017, making the 2017 BUMHS Act a reality. On December 20, 2017, the Governor of Balochistan, Mr. Muhammad Khan Achakzai, ratified the 2017 BUMHS bill. The BUMHS notice was published in the Balochistan Gazette in March 2018 after it was issued on December 22, 2017. The Bolan University of Medicine and Health Sciences Quetta has appointed Professor Naqib Ullah Acakzai as its first vice president. 1st of August 2018
Accreditation
It can teach medicine, hematology, neurosurgery, obstetrics and gynecology, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, pediatrics, psychiatry, and surgery, according to the Pakistan College of Physicians and Surgeons.
