State Islamic Academy Civil Line (Urdu: Formerly Dayanand Anglo-Vedic Academy is a government college located in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan). It was established by Arya Samaj on June 1, 1886 as Dayanand Anglo-Vedic School. Dayanand Anglo-Vedic College (DAV) College: The college was named after Hindu leader Dayanand Saraswati.
The college was nationalized in 1972 by the government of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. The College is managed by the Ministry of Education, Government of Punjab, Pakistan.
History
“Islamic Academy, Civil Lines” was established in 1947 in Lahore, Pakistan. Its predecessor was the famous DAV (Midwifery and English) Academy, which was shifted to Amba in Haryana, India after partition. Pull Out The graduates and students of this faculty are called “Flanians”. The college is near the place where Bhagat Singh – British police officer John P. Sanders was killed.
The graduates and students of this college are known as “Habibian” which is named as the oldest main building of the college.
